Aisle 6About us

Run by neighbourssince 2011.

Maplecourt started in a church basement with two shelves and a handful of volunteers. Today we fill a storefront off Montreal Road and help about 400 households every month.

What we believe

People should choose their own food.

Our pantry is set up like a small grocery store, and nobody is asked to explain why they need help.

We call the people who shop here neighbours, because that is who they are. Many of our volunteers first came in to shop. Some still do.

  1. 1Visitors choose their own food
  2. 2No referral needed
  3. 3Fresh fruit and vegetables every week
  4. 4Open books for donors
