How it works

A steady gift keeps the shelves steady.

A steady monthly amount lets us buy milk, eggs and produce in bulk at wholesale prices. It also keeps the shelves stocked in summer, when food donations slow down. You get one official tax receipt by email each February for the year, and you can change or cancel your gift online at any time.

Where your donation goes.

We buy most of our fresh food at wholesale prices and get the rest from local grocers and farms. Volunteers do almost all of the work, so most of every dollar goes straight to food. Our annual report lists every cost.

No. We issue official tax receipts for gifts of money only. Food drop-offs are very welcome during pantry hours.

What does my tax receipt do?

A gift to a registered charity earns a federal and provincial tax credit, which lowers the tax you owe. Your receipt shows the eligible amount to claim.
