What is included

Checkups and cleanings, with our general dentists

A regular checkup includes an exam by one of our general dentists and a cleaning by a registered dental hygienist. Your dentist checks your teeth, gums and mouth, and decides whether you need X-rays at this visit. Your hygienist removes plaque and tartar and shows you where to focus when you brush and floss. Most patients come in every six to twelve months, and your dentist will tell you how often you should come.

  2. Cleaning by a registered dental hygienist
  3. X-rays only when your dentist decides they are needed

Referrals

When we refer

If your dentist finds something that needs care we do not provide, such as gum surgery, we refer you to another dental office and send your X-rays so you do not need new ones.

Costs

A written estimate before treatment

We bill most insurance plans and the Canadian Dental Care Plan directly. Before any treatment, you get a written estimate that shows what your plan should pay.

Questions

Often asked

Call (613) 555-0184 and the front desk will answer anything else.

How long does a checkup take?

Plan for about an hour for a checkup and cleaning. A first visit can take a little longer because we go over your health history.

Do I need X-rays at every visit?

No. Your general dentist decides at each exam whether you need X-rays, based on your mouth and your history.

Can I book the whole family at once?

Yes. We book back-to-back visits in two chairs on the same afternoon or Saturday morning.
