How we approach it

A new kitchen is the renovation most homeowners plan the longest for, and the one where surprises cost the most. We start with a design visit, give you a fixed price with every allowance spelled out, and keep a working sink available for as long as we can.

Most kitchens we build start with the layout. We look at how you cook, where the light comes from and which walls can move. Then we draw a plan and a 3D view you can walk through before anything is ordered.

Cabinets are built to order by a local shop we have worked with for over ten years. Counters are measured after the cabinets are in, so every edge fits the room as built.

Good to know

Questions about kitchens

Can we still cook during the work?

Yes. We set up a temporary kitchen in another room with your fridge, a microwave and a sink. Most families find it easier than they expected.

Do you supply the appliances?

You can buy your own, or we can order them at our trade price. We install either one.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. We apply for all building permits and book every inspection. The cost is included in your quote.

How far ahead are you booked?

Usually six to ten weeks for kitchens and basements. Smaller jobs can often start sooner.
