Most business websites have one job. They need to get the right people to call, book or ask for a quote. We do web design in Ottawa around that job. Visitors should understand what you do within a few seconds, trust that you are good at it, and see exactly how to reach you.
We design every site from scratch around your business. We do not use a page builder or an off-the-shelf theme.
What good web design does for your business
- It answers the first question fast. Someone who lands on your homepage wants to know if you do what they need, in their area, at a price they can afford. The first screen answers that.
- It builds trust. Visitors see clear photos, real details about your work, reviews and straight answers to common questions.
- It works on a phone. Buttons are big enough to tap, text is readable without zooming, and your phone number is one tap away.
- It loads fast. Slow sites lose visitors before they see anything. Our sites typically load in under a second.
- It helps you show up on Google. Each service gets its own page, with titles and headings that match what people type into Google. That gives you a fair chance to rank.
How the design process works
- A short call. We learn about your business, your customers and what a good lead looks like for you.
- A page plan. We map out which pages you need and what each one should say. For most service businesses that means a homepage, a page for each main service, an about page and a contact page.
- Design. You see the homepage design first. Once you are happy with the direction, we design the other pages to match.
- Build and test. We build the site, test it on phones and computers, and check that every form reaches you.
- Launch. We connect your domain, submit the site to Google and show you how to make edits.
A site with less to go wrong
We build most sites with Astro, which leaves fewer parts to break or update, and hosting is free if you pay once. Our web development page explains why. If several people edit your site every week, we build on WordPress instead, which needs paid hosting.
Not sure which one fits? Ask us. The answer depends on how often you update your site and who does the updating.
Web design for your industry
A contractor, a law firm and a therapist all need different things from a website. See what we recommend for your field on our industry pages, each with an example of our work.
